Peachtree Road United Methodist Church Preschool’s Auction at Chastain Horse Park

Chastain Horse Park just recently hosted an unforgettable annual auction for Peachtree Road United Methodist Church Preschool (PRUMC Preschool). It was such a fabulous event! Their theme—“Off to the Races”—was the perfect fit for this scenic event venue in Atlanta, combining charm, elegance, and a touch of southern flair.

Guests arrived at 7:00 PM and were greeted outside by a special guest—a horse from the stables. It was a heartwarming and unique welcome that set the tone for the night. Inside, the event began with passed hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails. The evening’s featured drinks included Mint Juleps, Kentucky Mules, Transfusions, and Vodka Cranberries with sweet and sour and triple sec. The hors d’oeuvres were equally enticing: open-faced pimento cheese canapés, spicy pork empanadas, mini beef Wellingtons, and deviled eggs.

As guests explored the silent auction items, they mingled throughout the garden level and out on the patio. The weather couldn’t have been better—clear skies, comfortable temperatures, and a stunning backdrop provided by Chastain Horse Park, one of the most unique event spaces in Atlanta.

A Venue That Brings Events to Life

Cocktail hour concluded, and guests were escorted upstairs for the live auction—an electric part of the evening. The auctioneer brought excitement and energy that had the crowd on fire, raising vital funds for the preschool’s programs and scholarships.

Two custom food stations in the ballroom kept spirits high and plates full. The first featured whiskey-glazed chicken, barbecue pork rollups, low country shrimp and grits, homemade mac and cheese, skillet cornbread squares, and twice-baked potato casserole. The second included old south sausage and cheddar bites, buttermilk fried chicken tenders, wild mushroom ravioli, southern green beans, and assorted seasonal vegetables. For dessert, guests were treated to chocolate mousse cups, mini carrot cakes, and key lime tartlets.

It was an evening of celebration and generosity, made possible by a supportive community and an exceptional event venue in Atlanta, Chastain Horse Park.
